The key to having grace in your life is letting grace have you. That key is turned by learning to live in awareness and agreement with what God is saying to you.
You don’t reshape God’s grace to fit your choices, it’s His grace that reshapes your thoughts and actions to line up with His. Grace is God’s power in you, and His passion for you, to develop and accomplish all He sees in you, all you could never do on your own.
When grace has your heart, you’re able to see yourself and others as God does. When grace has your mind, you’re empowered to deal with your circumstances from His perspective. Pain, adversity, fear, rejection, and offense never get to define you again. What defines you is the grace with which you face them.
“He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me” (2 Corinthians 12:9).
