Lion’s Rain

dew

“Those that are Mine will be as dew from the Lord, like showers on the grass to everyone around them. And they will be like lions to the enemy” (Micah 5:7-8).

These verses from Micah are so special to me that I had them tattooed on my back after beating cancer. They give me perspective—to see each day as a gift, and to look at people as those in need of water, blessing, and grace, asking God how He wants me to be that for them. And, to also see hate, pain, and suffering as the work of the enemy, asking God how He wants me to pray, speak, and act to displace them. You are both a refreshing, joyful rain to people, and an unstoppable, raging lion to every principality and power in the spiritual realm (Ephesians 6).

People can be tools of the enemy if they allow it, but you won’t change them by fighting on the enemy’s ground with his weapons. You bring transformation by living it. Overflowing the faith, hope, love, joy, peace, wisdom, healing, and power of God everywhere you go gives people the heaven–soaked opportunity to change, and sends the enemy running for cover.
