Your New Normal

“New normal” is a term often used to describe coping with an increased level of pain and loss, or diminished power and freedom. Sometimes there are really difficult circumstances you need to process with God so you can walk forward again.

But.

When God says “new normal”, He is offering something more empowering, not more constraining. He loves transforming your identity from good to great, and upgrading your mindset to think as He does. Regardless of what’s going on around you, He sees you as brilliant, strong, joyful , whole and holy, and fully engaged in pursuing the desires of your heart with Him.

You know what it’s like to let pain and anxiety define your identity and vision. But your New Normal is agreeing with what the Lord is saying about who you are, who He is for you right now, and what’s possible in your life today.

“The Angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon and said, ‘The Lord is with you, O mighty man of valor.’

Gideon replied, ‘Lord, how can I help anyone? Look at me—my family is the weakest, and I’m the very least in my father’s house.’

The Lord responded, “But, I will be with you . . . now go in this great strength I have put in you” (Judges 6).
