Don’t quit. Don’t give in. Your feelings and circumstances are real, but they can’t define your identity unless you let them. They’re certainly not what God sees when He looks at you, and you can’t afford to think differently about yourself than God does.
He knows every negative thought you’ve had about everything you’re facing, but He still sees you as the son or daughter you’re capable of becoming in Him—confident, powerful, joyful, and free.
You are so loved. More than you can imagine. You’re not going to let past mistakes, present stressors, fears about the future, or anyone else’s opinions of you define your identity. Allow His grace to transform you to see yourself, your relationships, and your world with all the love He does.
With every decision you make that agrees with how God sees you, you are becoming the person He says you can be. You aren’t going to react to life today. You are going to respond to His.
“Be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness” (Ephesians 4:17-24).
“Don’t conform to how everyone else thinks. Become transformed by renewing your thoughts and feelings” (Romans 12:2).
