Good Morning

“Satisfy us in the morning with Your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days” (Psalm 90:14).

Why the morning? Why do you need to connect with God so early? Because the first thing you need to know every day is that you are loved.

Getting rejected, ignored, lied to, disappointed, or even betrayed is a possibility each day. You want to be successful, and failure happens sometimes. Not to mention that though this world is beautiful, it’s also broken and sometimes tragic.

You have to know in your soul you are celebrated by your heavenly Father no matter what the day has in store. Circumstances don’t define your peace or success, and what people do or don’t do doesn’t control your joy. Let your peace come from who God says you are, and your joy from who He wants to be for you today, and they’ll be more than enough to disempower any negative that tries to get in your way.

“Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where He prayed” (Mark 1:35).
