Jesus is Peace, so You are Too

Keeping your identity, relationships, and circumstances in a state of peace can be overwhelming in your own strength. So don’t do it alone. Remember who governs that state; Jesus is the Prince of Peace—it’s an innate part of his character, and his kingdom. And you’re his completely loved and celebrated royal child, which means peace is part of who you are, not something you have to perform or beg for.

Ask Jesus to train you to live in constant awareness of that incredible peace—a peace situated in his righteousness, and saturated in his joy. As he heals and unites all the pieces of your heart, you’ll see the past as powerless to harm you, problems as opportunities to grow, and people for who they’re capable of becoming.

“For the kingdom of God is . . . righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Romans 14:17).

“Lord, teach me your way, so I can walk in your truth. Unite my heart, so I can live in awe of you” (Psalm 86:11).
