Stop. Take a breath. Instead of viscerally reacting to, or running from, the frustration you’re feeling, respond to it. No one likes pain, but when it shows up, it’s warning you there’s an injury or illness in need of healing. Similarly, frustration is signaling there’s a negative mindset that needs dealt with.
Invite Jesus into it. Let him show you where the source is really coming from, and allow him to displace your negative thoughts with his truth and grace. Rather than frustration leading to a place of limitation, it will become a door to freedom, healing, renewed identity, and revelation.
“I have told you all this so you may have peace in me. Here on earth there are many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).
