Hope Never Disappoints

Your brain wants answers, but your heart wants hope. That’s why God speaks to your heart first, because hope doesn’t disappoint. Hope is how love sees the world, because love anticipates experiencing the goodness of God, regardless of the situation.

When your heart is at rest in God’s love, then He can speak to your mind about how to deal with your circumstances, in agreement with your confident hope.

Take a step back from trying to figure everything out, and go after hope instead. Don’t just wait for it. Thank God for every good thing in your life, until the hope of all he is for you overwhelms every fear of loss, failure, and rejection.

Then let Him speak to your heart and transform your thinking. Let him love you in the situation you’re in, and let his hope show you the way through it.

“Hope never disappoints, because it is the certainty of the love of God, which has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, who is always with us” (Romans 5:5).
