Those whose calling and job it is to deal with the darkness in others need to spend at least as much time in the light. Everyone else needs to spend more time with God before looking into it. A whole lot more.
A way to know you’re walking in light is if you don’t see victims of evil as statistics to justify your opinions, but as fellow children of God who deserve your best, regardless of how they think, act, or look. And you’ll know you’re really living in light if you don’t view the perpetrators of evil as your enemy, but can see through their sins to the person God meant them to be. The person he still wants them to be.
“The eyes of your spirit allow revelation-light to enter into your being. When your heart is open the light floods in. When your heart is hard and closed, the light cannot penetrate and darkness takes its place. Open your heart and consider my words. Watch out that you do not mistake your opinions for revelation-light! If your spirit burns with light, fully illuminated with no trace of darkness, you will be a shining lamp, reflecting rays of truth by the way you live” (Luke 11:34-36, TPT).
