Don’t wait until conditions are perfect to pursue your God–given visions and dreams. They never will be. That’s like having a passion for baseball, but not playing because you don’t have a new ball. Use the one with chew marks and dog spit. Or hit rocks with a stick until your increasing mastery and joyful dedication attracts favor from others who want to equip you for your destiny. The challenges you’re facing aren’t trying to keep you from your dreams, they’re training you to brilliantly accomplish them.
Along the way, remember every day is an opportunity to be stressed or peaceful, bitter or forgiving, judgmental or gracious, fearful or bold, self–absorbed or Spirit–led. Be conscious that it’s a choice—don’t let circumstances, the past, or others define who you are or limit what you can do. Even just a few moments in God’s presence can completely transform this day from burden to brilliant.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he or she is a new creation. The old has passed away, and the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
“Do not be conformed to this world’s ways of thinking, but be transformed by continually renewing your mind in God” (Romans 12:2).
“When you choose to see God’s glory with an unmasked face, you become what you behold, increasingly transformed from one degree of that glory to another by the Spirit of God” (2 Corinthians 3:18, paraphrased).
