Angi spotted this beautiful little hawk as we were driving. He perched on a crane about a hundred yards away, just long enough for us to stop and take his picture.
Watching him reminded me of what Jesus said of birds, and that always reminds me of a paradox of faith: you put all your trust and hope in God, that he will provide and care for you, yet you have to step out in courage to fully experience that provision and care.
Be your best today, in work and play. But take time to perch. Breathe. Remember your job isn’t to fix people, or to have a perfect answer for every circumstance and question. It’s to give everyone you interact with an encounter with the love, grace, wisdom, hope, peace, joy, healing, and blessing of God you’re living in.
