I know it’s Mothers Day, and I wish every mom a beautiful, wonderful day. But I felt someone might need one of the reset buttons that’s gotten me through so many difficult times:
“Lord, you are my strength, my light, my savior. Even if an army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid, because you are with me. When my heart hears you say, ‘Come and talk with me,’ I leap at the sound of your voice. I love being with you, Lord. My greatest desire is seeing and listening to you in the beauty and majesty of your presence.
But the enemy has been discouraging me with false accusations, Lord. Teach me how to think and live your way, and lead me on your good path. Because you’re with me, I know no matter what I face, I will experience your goodness throughout my life. You strengthen my heart, and you make me brave” (from Psalm 27, paraphrased).
