The areas of your life that get hit hardest are often the ones for which you’re most gifted. The enemy desperately wants you to equate your passions with fears of failure, rejection, loss, and lack, so you won’t take risks to pursue what God has uniquely blessed and qualified you to do.
Flip the script by thanking God for the blessings you do have, until the love, joy, and peace he returns to you make room for new ones. Then let him show you a vision for where your spiritual gifts and unique passions converge with your talents and experience. And go there.
Every time you take a step of faith toward who God says you are, you overwhelm the enemy, and occupy your increasing capacity to live in God’s presence—in his blessings, favor, power, grace, and confidence for the next step.
“It’s obvious, isn’t it? The place where your treasure is, is the place you will most want to be, and end up being” (Matthew 6:21, MSG).
