Love isn’t often easy. But what’s the alternative? God is love, and he is light. Choosing hate and condemnation to deal with people is agreeing with how the enemy sees them, not how God does.
Love is the best thing you can do, if for no other reason than it’s the nature of Jesus. To resist receiving or giving love is to refuse becoming like him, leaving you to rely on your own thoughts, feelings, and experience as a substitute god. And you know how great that usually works out.
So, love. Even if you don’t feel like it yet, love. Forgive. Bless. Your willingness to receive and give love puts you back into his light, where he can show you again who you really are in him—his completely, unceasingly loved child.
