Winning the War

Fear decays.

Worry weakens.

Bitterness corrupts.

Hate deceives, dehumanizes, and destroys.

So quit hanging out with them.

You’re inundated with information about what’s healthy for you physically, but you need to be just as intentional about what you’re feeding yourself emotionally, and how you’re exercising your spirituality. It’s both a daily invitation and lifelong discipline to occupy love so well that bitterness, worry, fear, and hate can’t occupy you. Blessing those who curse you isn’t just to benefit them, it’s so you don’t become them.

“Let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—genuinely righteous and holy” (Ephesians 4:23-24).

Your battles are less about what will win the fight for your circumstances, and more about who will win the war for your identity.
