Anger says, “No one respects you.”
Bitterness says, “You deserve to judge them.”
Fear says, “You’re powerless, and will fail and get hurt if you try.”
Despair says, “Your life means nothing.”
Love says, “You are so completely and unceasingly loved that no one can drain hope, peace, or joy from your life any more. They are a constant overflow from God, not a diminishing resource.
Your life is transformed and defined by the love of God, and can never mean anything less. You’re empowered in his love to overcome every negative thought and feeling, and to have a positive influence in every situation. No matter the circumstances or results, everything you do from love will produce more love.
“I love you with an everlasting love. With unfailing loving kindness I’m drawing you closer and closer to me” (Jer. 31:3).
