Forever

“These three will last forever—faith, hope, and love. And the greatest of these is love” (1 Corinthians 13:13).

I’ve been around long enough to see this verse twisted into a bitter burden in some people’s lives. If it’s anything less than a life-changing blessing in your own, please ask God to show you how to see it again from his perspective, rather than from the circumstances you’ve been going through.

Trials of your faith aren’t for evaluating your worth. They’re opportunities to learn to live powerfully in the infinite worth God always holds you in.

Challenges to your hope aren’t to show how much you can endure. They’re there to train you to rely on God’s unceasing grace, goodness, peace, and joy in every circumstance.

Your heart isn’t being tested to prove your love for God. He already knows you completely, and loves you more than you can imagine. He’s transforming your heart so you can love completely through anything, and imagine much more.
