It’s Always Thanksgiving

Just as the choice to be bitter tortures your thoughts, constrains your relationships, and limits your opportunities, your choice to be grateful renews your mind, transforms how you see and relate to others, and makes room for miracles.

We’re all going through a really difficult season. But it doesn’t get to define or control you if you won’t let it. Every moment you spend in thankfulness drains power from bitterness, fear, and self-pity, and strengthens you to keep moving forward.

Take a deep breath. Relax your physical shoulders, and let the burdens God never gave you fall off. Thank him for one good thing in your life. And another. And another. Thank him for his love for you until you can feel how greatly you’ve been loved through it all. You’re not alone. You’ve never been alone. Regardless of what’s going on, you get to live this day in contagious love, joy, peace, and gratitude.

“The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving” (Psalm 28:7).
