My camera can only do so much, so it’s not a detailed photo. But planets fascinate me. Venus is the second brightest object in our night sky. It has an atmospheric pressure 92 times ours, a surface temperature of 863°F (462°C), and is so brilliant because of the sunlight reflecting off the thick clouds of sulfuric acid surrounding it.
Not exactly a vacation destination. But it reminds me that even when I can’t see the details, or I’m not even sure where to go yet, I know there will always be something to discover and explore. It may be encouraging, or it might be difficult (the world feels a little like Venus at the moment). But I do know if Jesus is taking me there, it’s exactly where I need to be.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, so you won’t get trapped in your own head. Respond to all your circumstances from inside his presence, and he will show you the best way to go” (Proverbs 3:5-6, paraphrased).
What a wonderful post… thank you.
