Your life can be affected by the choices of others, but their stress isn’t yours. No matter how much fear, pain, anger, or chaos get thrown at you, the love, joy, peace, and self-control God has equipped you with are always greater, if you’ll let them be.
When people offend, reject, hurt, belittle, and constrain you, there’s often a voice inviting you to retaliate with the same weapons. But there’s another voice. Always. Beyond all the bitterness and pain, God is speaking life—words of grace, hope, healing, encouragement, and freedom. He’s stirring your heart to remember who you are, and whose you are.
Listen to God’s voice with your heart. All your heart. He’ll meet you there with the truth you need to overwhelm every lie, empower you to see each day from his perspective, and bless you with more than enough grace for every one of them.
“Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my song” (Jeremiah 17:14).
