Hurt is an identity vision.
Cynicism is a life vision.
Judgment is a world vision.
Fear is a generational vision.
And they’re all really terrible ones.
“When there’s no growing vision of who God is and what he’s saying, people forget who they, and everyone else, really are in him” (Proverbs 29:18a).
“Hurt people hurt people.” That saying is true. Most negative vision stems from past pain, and the future expectation of it.
Every good vision—for yourself, your relationships, the world, the future—begins, grows, and overflows from living in God’s presence.
“But when they see who God is for them, and listen to what he’s saying, their lives become blessed beyond measure” (Proverbs 29:18b).
Joy is your identity vision.
Hope is your life vision.
Blessing is your world vision.
Love is your generational vision.
And they’re all really good ones.
