“Dismantle negative imaginations, and high emotional and mental walls that keep you from really knowing God. Let every thought be captivated in obedience to Jesus Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5).
More than ever, I’m trying to capture my thoughts. The negative ones, so they don’t run away with truth, peace, and joy. And the ones that agree with what God says is possible, so I can grow them into reality with him.
Jesus, teach me to be captivated by the loving, merciful, healing, transforming thoughts you have for me. Help me to let go of fear and bitterness, and dwell on gratitude and wonder. Let your faith, hope, and love fill me until I become them.
“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord. ‘They are plans for wholeness, peace, and favor—I never have thoughts of evil toward you. I am here to give you a future of hope'” (Jeremiah 29:11).
