Focusing on fear builds isolation.
Focusing on offense justifies retribution.
Focusing on what Jesus is saying about them brings transformation.
“But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you” (Luke 6:27-28).
Blessing isn’t tacit approval of someone’s behavior, it’s transformational affirmation of their intrinsic worth. Bless those who hate you by refusing to be their enemy. Bless by returning wisdom for foolishness, peace for chaos, hope for darkness, life for death, and love for hate.
