This is the Day

“The Lord has made this day, so let’s live it with joy” (Psalm 118:24).

This is the day the Lord has made—not pain, fear, or depression. So no matter how they threaten, you don’t have to surrender one minute to their abuse.

Instead, you’re going to take time in God’s presence—receiving his love, and bringing your heart, mind, and all your circumstances inside his peace. You’re going to walk through this day purposefully with him, growing in joy, confidence, and your ability to hear him as you go.

Rather than emptying yourself for everyone, you’re going to bless others simply out of the continual strength and encouragement Jesus is giving you. No one’s fear, stress, or anger get to redefine who you are in Jesus. You are who he says you are.
