Before asking God for more faith to deal with what’s ahead of you, remember what you’re looking for isn’t some transient, mystical force. Faith is the confidence God is truly and always good, and the conviction he loves you, and through you, completely.
Faith is the overflow of your intimacy with Jesus. It’s the extraordinary outworking of his infinite love for you, evidenced in your spiritual, emotional, and physical life. Every choice you make from inside his love transforms and grows you, and blesses, heals, restores, and resources the world around you.
Faith is what life looks like from heaven’s perspective. Because of your relationship with Jesus, you get to see, think about, and relate to everyone and everything in your life as he does. Faith isn’t something you earn from God, it’s who you are in him.
“The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see” (Hebrews 11:1, MSG).
