In Gratitude

When you’re stuck in a thought swamp, obsessing over what’s wrong, what’s missing, what you wish would have happened, and anxious about what might, let thankfulness to God for the good things in your life overwhelm all the difficult ones.

I know how overly simplistic this seems, but thankfulness is one of the most powerful ways God has given you to renew your mind. The enemy has no effective weapons against the faith, hope, and love contained in gratitude. Thankfulness helps you remember how much you’re loved, who you are in Christ, and what’s possible with him in all your circumstances.

Then, rather than being stuck, you can accelerate what he’s doing in you by encouraging and blessing others. You can’t make people change, but you can give them experiences with the kind of grace that’s transforming you.
