“I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you and prayed. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a confident, determined mindset” (2 Tim 1:6-7).
This word from Paul to Timothy is for you, too. The gift is part of your core identity, who you really are in Jesus. Stirring up that gift resurrects your dreams, passions, and purposes, and all that makes you come fully alive.
Let God reignite your mind and heart for life. Let him remind you of all that’s in you, and all that’s possible in him. Write it down. If there’s a song that makes it real to you, make it your ringtone. Say it out loud in the car as an affirmation of who you are, and what you’re capable of. Let it grow, and your relationship with God will grow. Every step you take with him increases the gifts he’s given you, and disempowers the fears that’s been trying to hold you back.
