This week is thought to be one of the most depressing of the year for people—it’s cold, dark, and the post-holiday blues make their annual visit.
But that’s not you. Just because the calendar says Christmas is over doesn’t mean you’re a different person. The Christmas you, the one who lives in wonder, joy, peace, and who is so intimately connected to God—that’s who you are.
This Thursday is Epiphany, commemorating the magi finding Jesus. No one’s really sure how many there were, or how long after Jesus was born they made it to Bethlehem. But when they did, the astonishing revelation of the love of God they received defined the word “epiphany.”
No matter what 2022 brings, you get to live in increasing revelations of God’s love, until you become part of the epiphany people are searching for.
“You are the light of the world” (Matt. 5:14a).
