In all your scrolling, be careful how much opinion you’re letting into your head. There’s a big difference between being informed, and allowing subjective information—and misinformation—determine how you see, think, and feel.
I know you know this, especially after the last few years of gladiatorial social media. But I also know how easy it is to recognize how others are swayed, but completely justify my own thoughts.
Honestly, I find I need the Holy Spirit more and more to help me process even the objective facts I see. Not so much the information itself, but to remind me of who I am in Jesus, and who he always is for me, no matter what the circumstances are.
Even if a dark, difficult situation is true, you don’t have to let it scare or control you. You’re equipped and empowered by a far greater truth to deal with it.
“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth” (John 16:13a).
