Maundy Thursday

Today is known as “Maundy Thursday.” The term comes from the first word in the Latin version of John 13:34: “Mandatum novum do vobis ut diligatis invicem sicut dilexi vos.”

In English, “A new commandment I give to you: as I have loved you, love one another.” Jesus said this to his disciples as he washed their feet, explaining that loving as he did is how the world would know they were truly sent by God. And then he gave his life to make that love possible.

No matter how difficult things are, with every thought, word, action, and social media post, may we keep his love first.
