Mondays come quickly. And sometimes they don’t leave. In the times you feel tired and stressed, or maybe even grieved, and hopeless, every day can feel like a long Monday.
Don’t believe the enemy’s lie you have to keep enduring this day, or this season of your life, in frustration and exhaustion before you can crawl into a little bit of rest. In Jesus, you’re always at rest—a peace and grace so powerful, you’re able to overwhelm every lie, fear, temptation, and rejection, and overcome every difficult circumstance. In him, you’re empowered to work in rest, play in rest, and create an atmosphere around you in which others can joyfully experience his rest with you.
Take a deep breath or two. Ask Jesus to speak to your heart about what’s on his. Let what he tells you invade every negative thought in your mind. Let the Prince of Peace be exactly that, today and every day.
“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7).
