The enemy’s plan is to overwhelm and exhaust you—emotionally, physically, spiritually—until you don’t want to fight anymore, and don’t even want to care anymore. The greatest danger to your identity isn’t the negativity you’re facing, it’s relinquishing your heart to it.
Don’t fall for the lie you’re alone, and have to rely on your own strength. God is with you right now, right where you are. He’s not holding back his love, grace, and strength until you perfect your life. He’s asking you to let him be perfect in your life.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you. He will never leave you, nor forsake you” (Deut. 31:6).
“David was deeply distressed . . . but he strengthened himself in the Lord” (1 Sam. 30:6).
“The Lord is my strength and my shield. My heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my life’s song I will praise him (Psalm 28:7).
