You are not alone. I know it may feel that way, but it’s just not true. When you forget who you really are in God, difficult circumstances can cloud your awareness of him, and tempt you to isolate you from people. But even in your worst moments—when you’ve been rejected, or when you’ve failed—you’re never alone. There’s so much in this life we may never fully understand, but no matter what’s going on, you never have to beg God to come to you. He’s already with you, and he’s not leaving.
Shut off the lies by listening for Jesus. Open your heart to receiving his grace, love, hope, peace, and joy. The enemy has none of those, and sucks at faking them. You know it’s really God because all those lies are getting smaller and smaller. You can feel his presence, and it’s growing. Jesus isn’t the way, the truth, and the life for an hour on Sunday. He is your truth, your way, and your life every moment of every day.
“The Lord will bless you and keep you. The Lord will smile like a sunrise upon you, and give you favor and grace. The Lord will reveal himself to you, and give you complete peace and wholeness” (Numbers 6:24-26, paraphrase).
