Today, you’re not going to fall into the black hole of obsessing over what might go wrong. Instead, you’re going to bring your heart, mind, and all your circumstances inside God’s peace. You’re going to walk through this day purposefully with him, growing in joy, confidence, and your ability to hear him as you go.
Instead of letting fear drain your energy, you’re going to be continually strengthened, encouraged, and blessed in God’s presence, and find you have more than enough to give to others out of the overflow. You’re going to be well-informed, wisely proactive, effectively compassionate, and more than anything, completely confident in how greatly you are loved. This is the day that the Lord has made, not the enemy.
“David was overwhelmingly distressed . . . but he strengthened himself in the Lord his God.” (1 Samuel 30:6).
