“A voice came out of the cloud, saying, ” This is my beloved Son. Listen to him” (Luke 9:35).
This is where Jesus radiated in supernatural light as he talked with Moses and Elijah. Peter, John, and James were unsure of how to deal with the moment, so Peter came up with building mini-temples to mark the spot it happened. Swing and a miss.
We miss the point all the time. We see our circumstances, the good, bad, and ugly, and so often just rush in with our old experiences and mindsets to define and control everything we can. But God is inviting you to ask him what this moment means, who he wants to be for you in it, and who you’re becoming through it. The point is that you’re the temple. The same grace and glory Jesus lives in is yours to live in and give away.
It’s such a difficult time in this world that it’s hard not to fall back on old mindsets to deal with it. But it’s also a time we honor fathers, so don’t miss the Father’s message to you: listen to his Son. Listen with your heart and mind immersed in his faithfulness, hope, and love, until you can’t help but be a supernatural light everywhere you go.
