There are times when you have to decide each day whether you’re someone who’s just trying to survive the craziness around you, or whether you’re someone blessed and empowered by God to fully live what he shows you is possible, no matter what’s going on, or what anyone thinks of you.
If you want to fully live, then don’t just count your blessings. Celebrate them. Celebrate everyone and everything God has blessed you with. Take so much joy in what he’s doing in your life, and who he is for you, it overwhelms every negative thought you’ve been struggling with. Let joy heal pain, overwhelm worry, and re-energize your soul, until the enemy avoids you because you’re just too annoyingly and exhaustively happy to pick a fight with.
Whether today is the best day ever, or a really difficult one, know that what God has been working on in you has been preparing you for it. Decide again not to react to circumstances, but to respond to him instead. Ask Jesus how he sees what you’re dealing with, and what he wants to do with you about it.
Beyond pain, lies, and fears, see the incredible grace, love, and joy he has for you right now. You’re being healed, encouraged, equipped, and blessed for this moment. And you’re not alone. You’re never alone.
“This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9).
