“New normal” has been used to describe a time of coping with pain, loss, limitation, and of course, a pandemic. But, when God says “new normal,” he’s offering a more empowered identity, not a lesser one.
You know what it’s like to let pain, fear, and hopelessness define your identity and vision. But now it’s time to let your new normal agree with what Jesus is saying about who you are and what’s possible in your life. No matter what you’re facing, he’s completely committed to transforming you into the healed, strong, joyful, brilliant overcomer he sees in you.
“The Angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon and said, ‘The Lord is with you, O mighty man of valor.’
Gideon replied, ‘Lord, how can I help anyone? Look at me—my family is the weakest, and I’m the very least in my father’s house.’
The Lord responded, ‘But I will be with you . . . now go in this great strength I’ve given you’ ” (Judges 6).
