A series of storms has brought some pretty big waves. I took this yesterday at one of my favorite spots to watch the surf.
Rough or calm, the ocean always reminds me how much more powerful God’s love is than my fears, and how much bigger his grace is than any of my problems. I can see in every breaker his beauty, majesty, and joy.
No matter what happens today, find a spot with him where he can speak to you about who you are, and how to see everyone and everything as he does. Instead of allowing others’ fear and hate to steal your peace, let Jesus take you deeper into his.
“I hear deep calling to deeper in the voice of your sea. Wave after wave of your overwhelming presence washes over me. Every day you pour out your unfailing love, and it carries me through the night in prayers and songs to you who gives me life” (Psalm 42:7-8, paraphrased).
