Celebrate Every Day

Easter is a holiday.

It is observed once a year, the mercurial date arrived at by some sort of ancient calculation involving moon phase, vernal equinox, and the average number of Peeps it takes to raise one’s blood sugar to diabetic levels (2.8).

But resurrection is a way of life.

Jesus’ resurrection is literally THE way of life, the most monumental event in all of history and beyond, to be celebrated every day of the year in our thoughts, words, and actions.

A week after the official Waxy Compound Chocolate Day might be better to ponder this aspect of the resurrection: Jesus didn’t need the stone rolled away to get out of the tomb. It was rolled away so we could see into the heart of God.
