David said, “When I fought against the lion and the bear, the Lord delivered me from both of them. I know he will deliver me from the hand of this Goliath” (1 Sam. 17:37a, paraphrased).
Your lion and bear days haven’t been easy. They’ve been painful, draining, and frustrating, more than anyone knows. But they have revealed what God is working on in you, and given you opportunities to grow into all he says you can be. You’re stronger, wiser, and more confident. You’ve increased in skill with the gifts he’s given you, and live a more powerful, authentic expression of faith, hope, and love. You’ve not just learned how to fight to survive, you’ve been training to overcome and thrive.
So don’t give up your dreams, and don’t surrender your heart to the fears projected around you. Every challenge you’ve faced with God has been equipping you for this time, and empowering you for greater and greater opportunities after Goliath is dead.
