“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:8-9).
This verse may read like a criticism, God’s “smh” at the human race. But it’s just the opposite: it’s an invitation. This is your heavenly Father, waiting for you with open arms and a soul-transforming smile, ready to show you life through his eyes, and help you process it all in his love, grace, hope, and wisdom.
Spend some time with him today, enough to shift your thinking about the rest of your day. It’s your Father’s absolute delight to grow you to see and think about everything as positively and powerfully as he does. The enemy wants you to keep focusing on your last failure, but God is inviting you to see your next opportunity.
