Patience and passivity aren’t the same thing. Don’t let them be. Passivity is surrendering your identity in God to whatever is happening to you or around you. Patience is wrapping yourself in God’s presence until you’re confident about who he is for you in this, who you’re becoming through it, and how he’s equipping you to deal with it all.
