“I always have hope, because I renew my mind with this thought every morning: The Lord’s love for me never lessens, never ceases, and never fails! (Lam. 3:21-23, paraphrased).
Sometimes keeping hope at the front of your thoughts isn’t easy, especially when everyone around you seems to have lost theirs. But it’s always worth the battle, because when life isn’t going the way you thought it would, hope transforms you to recognize and seize the good opportunities for change.
Hope isn’t a desperate wish, an elusive emotion, or a theoretical concept. Hope is your intentional agreement with God’s daily passion to increase your ability to live in his love, until pain, fear, and sadness have no control over how you think and feel.
“Your faithfulness to me is so great, and your presence so transforming, I know I’m never without hope” (Lam. 3:23-24, paraphrase).
