I used to avoid this scripture, even kind of resent it, because it seemed callous to those going through painful situations. But while going through some difficult times, I realized I was looking at it from the perspective of the problem, not from the far bigger picture of his love.
From inside his love, you can see who he wants to be for you, so you can overcome what’s in front of you. And every time you trust in his love for you, through every storm and every attack you’re becoming more of the amazing person he already sees you as.
Rise up. The past does not define you.
Rise up. You a new person in Jesus Christ.
Rise up. You are who he says you are.
Rise up. You have an exciting, fulfilling purpose to live.
Rise up. You are loved—completely, perfectly, and wildly loved.
