It’s not just a goal that determines your destination. It’s also how you view yourself on the way. If you see yourself as a powerful, confident, loved child of God on an adventure, that’s what you’ll grow in, regardless of what you encounter. If you see yourself as a helpless, hopeless, valueless orphan held back by what others have said and done, that’s as far as you’ll get.
It almost always comes to this: agree with God, or agree with fear. Your joy, peace, hope, faith, identity, and purpose all hinge on that daily decision.
“My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest” (Exodus 33:14).
